The Carlow County Development Plan 2022-2028 was adopted by the Council’s Elected Members on 23rd May 2022, and shall have effect from 4th July 2022.  It is a statutory document prepared by the Planning Authority in accordance with the requirements of the Planning & Development Act 2000 (as amended) and the Planning & Development Regulations 2001 (as amended).

The new County Development Plan sets out the strategy for the proper planning and sustainable development of the County over the plan period from 2022 to 2028.
