Alterations to Existing Office Building at Court Place, Carlow

Proposed Development

Pursuant to the requirements of the above, notice is hereby given by Carlow County Council of the proposed alterations to existing building comprising reconfiguration of internal layout, provision of office accommodation, meeting room, toilets, canteen, together with external alterations, all associated services installations and associated site works. An Appropriate Assessment Screening Report for the proposed development has been completed and is available for inspection.

Where Can I Get More Information?

Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for inspection, or purchase at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy, for a period of 4 weeks from 28/04/2023 at the following locations:

County Buildings, Athy Road, Carlow, R93 E7R7 - Monday to Friday 9.15am to 4.30pm.

Plans and particulars are also be available to view here on Carlow County Council’s Consultation Portal.

Submissions & Observations

Submissions or observations with respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and development of the area in which the proposed development would be situated may be made before 12.00pm on Friday 19th May 2023 by any of the following methods:

Environmental Considerations

In accordance with Article 81 of the Planning & Development Regulations 2001 (as amended), Carlow County Council has concluded from a preliminary examination, that there is no likelihood of significant effects on the environment arising from the proposed development and that an Environmental Impact Assessment is not required.  Any person may, within 4 weeks from the date of this Notice, apply to An Bord Pleanála for a screening determination as to whether the proposed development would be likely to have significant effects on the environment.
