The importance of nature-based solutions and green and blue infrastructure is recognised at a regional level through a range of strategies and policies and more recently with the Southern Regional Assembly’s publication ‘Our Green Region – a Blue Green Infrastructure and Nature-based Solutions Framework for the Southern Region’. This Framework provides a resource to guide the implementation of blue and green infrastructure and nature-based solutions to support the implementation of a network of nature-based interventions to solve local challenges in our settlements and the landscapes that they link to.
