EE P17: It is the policy of Carlow County Council and Laois County Council to:

Support the development of the Southern Region as a Learning Region in support of RPO 186 and RPO 190 in the ‘Regional Spatial and Economic Strategy for the Southern Region’ (RSES), and the ‘SRA publication Towards a Learning Region’ (2022) in partnership with the Southern Regional Assembly, Local Authorities and other agencies as appropriate.

Diverse and Inclusive Communities is supported at a Regional Level through the relevant RSES (i.e RPOs 9.1 and 9.2 (EMRA) and RPO 179 of the SRA).
