My name is Sinead Tynan and I am a resident of Graiguecullen since 2001.

Tuairimí

Lack of open and public consultation

In the first instance I hereby respectfully request that Carlow and Laois County Councils extend the deadline for submissions in respect of the Draft Carlow-Graiguecullen Joint Urban Local Area Plan 2024-2030. This plan was only released on 13th December 2023 and there were only two public information sessions held and these were not held until almost a month after the plan was released and only allowing two weeks to prepare and make submissions. The public consultations were held during "working hours" (14.30-18.00) and so were inaccessible to most working residents, especially the large number of residents who work outside the town. I do not believe that this planning process has been "an open and public one".

Príomh-thuairim:

Extension required to deadline for submissions

Príomh-iarratais:

Please extend the deadline for submissions

Main reasons:

Insufficient public consultation and insufficient time allowed
