Carlow Live and Local is an initiative of Carlow County Council Arts Service and grew from the national Live and Local Performance Scheme that local authorities managed during the pandemic. 2024 saw the return of Carlow Live and Local, managed by Carlow County Council Arts Service in partnership with Carlow Arts Festival and local musicians and producers. As you know, the County Council has supported over 150 local musician performances under the Carlow Live and Local schemes since its inception. We would like to ask you your views in order to help shape the future development of this programme. When the deadline passes, information from you will be collated and shared back to you as to what you said, in early 2025.
Carlow Live and Local since its inception has showcased Carlow Musicians and provided access to performance opportunities. It also has seen wonderful local raw talent flourish and nurtured, with the voice of the local musician community at its core.
Carlow Live & Local is a platform for the most exciting music from across Co. Carlow, we want to hear from you as musicians, audiences, key stakeholders, how you see this programme develop going forward – its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats,.
Representation and inclusion are important to us, and we actively encourage you to have your voice in this process.
