Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 13(8) of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (as amended), that Carlow County Council, being the Planning Authority for the County has made a Variation to the Carlow County Development Plan 2022-2028 on Monday, 10th March 2025. The Variation was made as proposed with no modifications and is effective immediately. The Variation relates to the following:
Borris Small Town Plan
Rezone 1.0ha of land at Scorteen, Borris, Co. Carlow from ‘New Residential’ to ‘Agriculture’ and amend the written text of the Borris Small Town Plan to reflect the changes consequent from rezoning.
Rezone 1.7ha at Bog Lane, Borris, Co. Carlow from ‘Strategic Reserve’ to ‘New Residential’ and amend the written text of the Borris Small Town Plan to reflect the changes consequent from rezoning providing a plan led framework for the future development of the site.
Updates to the Infrastructure Assessment (Appendix X) and Borris Town Objectives Map arising from the zoning changes.
Kildavin Larger Serviced Village Plan
Rezone 0.63ha of land at Kildavin, Co. Carlow from ‘Existing Residential / Infill’ to ‘Agriculture’ and amend the written text of the Kildavin Larger Serviced Village Plan to reflect the changes consequent from rezoning.
Provide an increase in units deliverable (from 15 to 18) on New Residential Zoned Land (1.5ha), to ensure flexibility in achieving an appropriate level of housing over the period of the Plan and amend the written text of the Kildavin Larger Serviced Village Plan to reflect the changes consequent from the above.
