Description of Development
The development will comprise of:
construction of a new social housing development comprising of 4 no. Residential units. 1no. one-bedroom unit with associated carparking space and 3 no. two bedroom units with associated car parking spaces.
new road access to the development via Sleaty street incorporating 2 additional car parking spaces.
site Development works including pedestrian crossing, public lighting, landscaping, new site boundary treatments, and all ancillary site development works and services.
An Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Preliminary Examination, and an Appropriate Assessment Screening, for the proposed development have been completed and are available for inspection.
Plans and particulars for the proposed development including all reports are available for inspection online at https://consult.carlow.ie/or during office hours at the Planning Department, Carlow County Council, County Buildings, Athy Road, Carlow for a period of 4 weeks commencing on 24th June 2025. You can also purchase a copy of same at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy.
A submission or observation in relation to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made, in writing, to the Planning Department, Carlow County Council, County Buildings, Athy Road, Carlow clearly marked ‘Cúlan Éanna, Sleaty Street, Graiguecullen, Carlow, Part 8 Process’ oronline at Carlow County Council’s public consultation portal at https://consult.carlow.ie/orby email to part8@carlowcoco.ie with the subject line being clearly noted as 'Cúlan Éanna, Sleaty Street, Graiguecullen, Carlow, Part 8 Process’, before 5.00pm on 8th August 2025.

Any person may, within 4 weeks from the date of this notice apply to An Bord Pleanála for an Environmental Impact Assessment Screening Determination as to whether the proposed development would be likely to have significant effects on the environment.
