DRAFT DEVELOPMENT CONTRIBUTION SCHEME 2025-2029

SECTION 48(4) PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT ACT 2000 (as amended)

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to Section 48(4) of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended), that Carlow County Council has prepared a Draft Development Contribution Scheme for the period 2025-2029.

Copies of the Draft Development Contribution Scheme showing proposed contributions under the Draft Scheme are available for public inspection at the following locations during office hours from Tuesday, 29th April, 2025 to Wednesday, 11th June, 2025.

  • Carlow County Council Offices, County Buildings, Athy Road, Carlow
  • Carlow Library, Tullow Street, Carlow
  • Tullow Civic Offices, Inner Relief Road, Tullow, Co. Carlow
  • Muine Bheag Area Offices, McGrath Hall, Station Road, Bagenalstown, Co. Carlow
  • Borris Library, Main Street, Borris, Co. Carlow.

The Draft Scheme is also available for inspection online at www.consult.carlow.ie.  A copy may also be purchased at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy. 

Submissions and observations in relation to the Draft Development Contribution Scheme 2025 - 2029 are invited during the public consultation period, from Tuesday, 29th April, 2025 to Wednesday, 11th June, 2025 and may be made in any of the following ways:

  • In writing, to the Planning Department, Carlow County Council, County Buildings, Athy Road, Carlow clearly marked ‘Draft Development Contribution Scheme 2025 – 2029
  • Online at Carlow County Council’s public consultation portal, CiviQ, at https://consult.carlow.ie/
  • By email to planningdevman@carlowcoco.ie with the subject line being clearly noted as ‘Draft Development Contribution Scheme 2025 – 2029’

The closing date for submissions is 5.00 pm on Wednesday, 11th June, 2025.

NOTE 1: Please make your submission by one medium only (i.e. hard copy/email/online at CiviQ).

NOTE 2: Submissions or observations received are subject to public viewing.

The processing of personal data for the purposes of receiving and dealing with submissions is lawful under Article 6(1)(e) of the GDPR Regulations and is subject to the Council’s Data Protection Policy.
