Carlow County Council and Carlow Age Friendly Alliance Survey

Carlow Age Friendly Alliance and Carlow County Council with other Alliance partners are calling on adults aged 50 and over in Carlow to participate in a crucial survey aimed at making our community more age-friendly by informing the upcoming Carlow Age Friendly Strategy 2025-2029. This initiative is part of Carlow’s ongoing commitment to promoting inclusivity, well-being, and making Carlow more ‘Age Friendly’ in line with Age Friendly Ireland and the World Health Organisation’s Global Age Friendly Framework.  Age Friendly Ireland is a Local Government led service in Ireland, working with multiple national stakeholders to prepare Ireland's infrastructure and services for the predicted rapid increase in our older population.

The survey is designed to gather insights directly from the ageing population in Carlow about their experiences, needs, and preferences. The feedback will be instrumental in shaping future programs, services, and facilities that cater specifically to the older population, ensuring that Carlow continues to be a welcoming and supportive place for everyone, regardless of age.

We are inviting all Carlow citizens aged 50 and above to take part in this important survey. Whether you are actively engaged in community life or face challenges in accessing services and activities, your voice matters. This is a valuable opportunity to influence decisions that will impact the quality of life for older adults in Carlow now and in the future.

How to Participate

The survey is easy to complete and will take approximately 15 minutes of your time. It is available both online and in paper format, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate.
